Your request could not be completed. This merchant does not accept funds transfers from your area of residence.

This is the message that at least US residents are now getting when you try to deposit with Neteller to Bodog. Anyone from outside of the US try to deposit with Neteller? If you could please try , this could be very very bad.

-Brendan<!-- prints out unhandled paymentMessage errors --><SCRIPT> var paymentMessageError = '{}' var hasNewError = true; if (paymentMessageError.length > 2 ){ for (var i = 0; i < NUMBER_ERRORS; i++ ){ if (paymentMessageError.indexOf(handledErrors) > -1){ hasNewError = false; } } } if (hasNewError && paymentMessageError.length > 2 ){ document.write(paymentMessageError); } </SCRIPT>

Canadians can't open accounts at Bodog while Bodog probably has few European clients and its still only 7:30 am CET (Central European Time).

Bodog won't take deposits from Neteller, but they'll let you collect through Neteller. hmmm

tld what is not true? Go to Bodog's site and try to deposit. You can't if you are a US citizen with Neteller.

I tried to make a Neteller deposit and it wouldn't go through. I made a Neteller withdraw request, and it went through. What am I missing?

Or is it that Neteller is declining to make the deposit in Bodog?

I can only pass along what I was told by Bodog. I know nothing more than that. (With respect, I would suggest calling Bodog and asking for a supervisor rather than simply speculating.)

This is what I posted at another site:

It has been mentioned here and elsewhere that Bodog is no longer doing Neteller transactions for American accounts, or at least not deposits. I just had a lengthy conversation with Bodog customer service. Here’s what I was told:

Bodog has NOT cut off transactions with Neteller.

Some transactions from Neteller to Bodog in the last few hours have failed to go through. There are two reasons for this. One, Neteller (as noted in other threads) as of today ceased allowing Instacash for their American customers, so obviously Instacash deposits are failing. Two, communication between Bodog and Neteller has been "up and down" for the last few hours, hence a minority of standard deposits did not go through.

But again, Bodog has NOT made a policy decision to block Neteller deposits. Nor, to their knowledge, has Neteller made a policy decision to block deposits to Bodog, other than the Instacash, which is gone for Americans across the board. (He did note that it is entirely possible Neteller could start restricting standard Neteller transactions for Americans at any time of course.)

There have been no issues, he said, with money going from Bodog to Neteller, so withdrawals are fine (unless and until Neteller decides otherwise).

He also stated that if American customers are nervous about withdrawing their money via Neteller, they will decide on a case-by-case basis whether to waive the rule about having to withdraw your money the same way you deposited it. (It certainly sounded like they’d be very reasonable about that.)
